Online Safety
At Mesne Lea Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils stay safe online. We teach children about the importance of protecting personal information, recognising inappropriate content, and understanding how to communicate safely on the internet.
Our online safety teaching is based on the Kapow curriculum, which we adapt to meet the needs of our pupils, and we complement this learning with trips to Bolton ICT to support curriculum development and practical digital experiences.
Personal development is a key focus at Mesne Lea, and we are proud of our strong Digital Leaders Team, who work hard to promote online safety and help keep children safe in school. Staff receive regular training to stay up-to-date with the latest online safety developments, and parents are supported through workshops and resources to reinforce safe practices at home. Additionally, we use secure technology systems and monitoring tools to create a safe digital environment for learning, allowing children to explore the online world confidently and responsibly.
